admin:top-menu-bar

A top menu bar in Aardvark administrator user interface (UI) is a control element which contains several drop-down lists. These drop-down lists are:

  • Organization
  • Time zone preview
  • Currency preview
  • Interface language
  • Account settings

Organization drop-down list shows an organizational tree for the administrator. If an administrator has more than one organization in his tree, he can quickly swap between organizations that he is in control of by selecting an organization from the list. This way an administrator can manage more than one organization without the need to have a separate account for each organization. Furthermore, an administrator doesn't need to re-sign in every time he switches between organizations.

List of time zones in the time zone preview allows an administrator to view all the information in a certain time zone. This is useful whenever an administrator controls more than one organization in different time zones. After selecting a time zone from the list, the system will automatically refresh showing all the data in the selected time zone. For example, if the bet was placed at 08:50 Europe/London time, then after switching to Europe/Vilnius time the bet will be shown in 10:50 time (+2 hours difference). If you wish to see more time zones than provided in the list, please contact our Support team via Skype SBI_support after consultation we can always add new time zones.

Note: local time zone is the same to your computer time.

Currency preview lets an administrator to view all the information in a specific currency. If an administrator selects a different currency from the drop-down list, then all data in the UI will convert to the specified currency. Currency list is non-exhaustive, so if any administrator requires any additional currencies in his list, he can contact our Suppor team via Skype SBI_support and our team will add a new currency. No currency conversion - shows all data in the original organization currency.

The language of the interface can be switched by selecting a different flag representing a different language from the drop-down list. Before creating an organization a default language is selected. Commonly, English is the default language of the interface, but you can switch to a different language. Aardvark will remember your switch to a different language and next time an administrator signs in, he will see the language that was selected before. Currently, we offer four official translations of the UI: English, Spanish, Lithuanian and Russian.

Note: if an administrator wishes to make some changes to the interface language or completely translate the UI he can do that by creating his custom language. But if an administrator wants an official translation of the UI from the Aardvark, he needs to contact the Support team via Skype SBI_support and ask for an official translation of the UI.

Account settings accessible by clicking on the profile picture of the user in the top menu bar. The display name is presented near the profile picture of the user. By clicking on the profile picture, an administrator will access features in the drop-down menu.

My Profile

Clicking My profile will open a window with profile information and auto-repots generator. Information provided in My Profile can be edited, this includes an email address and password.

If you wish to edit your email or password, refer to these step by step instructions.

  1. Click on the Edit button near the Email/Password
  2. Add new details of Email/Password
  3. Click Tick symbol to close the editor and save your settings

Non-editable information is also presented in My Profile menu. There you can see your display name, username (in brackets), type of user (Administrator or Cashier) and lastly, to which organization the user belongs to.

My Profile menu also offers an option to create auto-generated Reports, similar to a newsletter with data about the organization the administrator is responsible for.

Other features

As previously mentioned in the language article, an administrator can create his custom language for the interface. This can be done via Language editor presented in the drop-down menu when clicked on a profile picture.

Help

Help button will take the administrator to our wiki page. If an administrator clicks on a help button via administrator UI, the link will take to the administrator wiki page, while the cashier UI will take to cashier's wiki page.

Full-screen

Full-screen feature or F11 button in Chrome will make the application in full-screen size. A full-screen application makes work more pleasant and less distractive by other sources. We recommend using full-screen for administrators and especially for cashiers.

Try new version

Try new version is a feature for administrators and cashiers. The purpose of such element in the system is to introduce new components to a broader audience not just our company testing unit. If an administrator or cashier clicks on "Try New version" button he then will be redirected to Aardvark beta (testing) environment where he can try out new features of the betting application. This way administrators and cashiers can learn first about upcoming updates to the system, while also doing our team a great favor of testing how does the new feature work in real-life situations.

Reload

Reload is a simple application refresh, except, it doesn't require a user to re-sign in back to the account. If administrator or cashier clicks F5 in his keyboard or chooses another way to reload the website, a pop-up will appear asking whether a user really wants to reload the website. If a user accepts to reload the application, he will be required to sign in again to access his account. Reload function in the drop-down menu, on the other hand, executes the same reload of the application, except it does not require a user to re-sign. We recommend using "Reload" button in our software rather than using browser reload options.

Logout

Logout will sign out a user from the system and take him back to the sign in page.
