Horses Field Sheets

Overview

Field sheet is a report that provides the ability to see liability that each horse is holding. Additionally, the report displays current and average odds, total stake that was bet on the horse, potential win and the total count of the bets made. It is essentially a tool for risk managers to manage risk effectively - monitor active races, evaluate betting trends and make further decisions to minimize their potential liability, if needed. In this case, field sheets can be generated for both active and finished events.

Admin Interface

To generate a certain field sheet, the user needs to use the Filter section to filter out and find the concrete needed race.

Field sheets for active events

Field sheets reports for active events include and continuously update data and liability calculation with all bets made until the event bet close time.

Important: for data to update automatically, Auto Refresh option should be turned on:

Single bet

For example, a user is placing a single bet on a Fixed Win market, where odds are equal to 6.0, and the stake for a bet is 5.0 Eur. The horse data, at field sheets report, on which the bet was made, updates correspondingly to the bet.

When a horse accumulates bets, its name becomes clickable. Clicking on it redirects to the bet legs report, displaying all bets made on that horse:

Calculations for the Win Market are made accordingly:

  1. Win Stake of a horse is equal to the total stake that was betted on the horse at this specific event (at the example below the total bet stake for a horse was 5 Eur).
  2. Potential win of a horse is calculated by adding up all of the possible winnings of each bet that was made for it.
  3. Liability = Total Win Stake - Potential Win. (e.g. 5 - 30 = -25. This means that if the concrete horse would win, the bettor would lose 25 Eur.)

Important: For a fixed place market, the total sum of liability is divided by the number of Each Way (EW) Places for more accurate data.

Multibet and System bet

For example, a user is placing a multibet on Fixed Win markets, where the odds for the first bet leg are 11.00 and for the second bet leg are 10.00, with a total stake of 5.0 Eur. Calculations for the first event in the multibet bet slip (Win Market) are made accordingly:

  1. Win Stake of a horse is equal to the total stake that was betted on the horse at this specific event (at the example below the total bet stake for a horse was 5 Eur).
  2. Potential win of a horse is calculated by adding up all of the possible winnings of each bet that was made for it (at the example it is 59.4 Eur).
  3. Liability = Win Stake - Potential Win. (e.g. 5 - 59.4 = -54.4. This means that if the concrete horse would win, the bettor would lose 54.4 Eur.)

Important: For a fixed place market, the total sum of liability is divided by the number of Each Way (EW) Places for more accurate data.

Liability is calculated and displayed only on the bet leg of the event that currently holds liability, typically the first upcoming event in the multileg bet. Once the first upcoming event from the multileg bet finishes, the liability calculation will shift to another event in the multibet sequence.

In the example below, the second event of the bet slip, while the first event is still active, has a liability equal to zero. When the first event from the slip finishes, the second event's liability value will be updated as follows:

Important: the same liability calculation logic is used for system bets as well.

Field sheets for finished events

The data in the field sheets report for an event freezes when the event becomes inactive and betting is turned off. The liability calculation for the finished event includes all bets made until the event became inactive.

To access the past events report:

  1. At the Date filter section choose the required date (events can be filtered out by choosing one of default date filters or entering a custom date range).
  2. At the Event State section, add a checkmark on Finished status.
  3. Click the Load Events button.
  4. Once the events are loaded, navigate to the Horse Racing section.
