Ondato verification

To setup ondato verification for website, we need to setup several settings under website's Ondato section:

  • enabled : true (should ondato verification be enabled for website)
  • clientID : id (provided by ondato when we setup a new integration)
  • clientSecret : secret (provided by ondato when we setup a new integration)
  • username : ondatoTest (we provide this info to ondato when setting up a new integration. It is used to authorise their requests)
  • password : ondatoTest (we provide this info to ondato when setting up a new integration. It is used to authorise their requests)
  • setupID : 123 (provided by ondato when we setup a new integration)
  • attemptLimit : 2 (how many times can user fail verification before he gets a KYC_Failed tag)

Also if Ondato should be enabled on the new server, few backend-config settings should be added/changed. These settings can be retrieved from Ondato or scavenged somewhere from their documentation.

1. To start Ondato verification, new account should be created. User should press 'Ondato Verification' button.

After that, user should go through Ondato verification steps:

2. User should select a device, with which to continue verification:

3. You are being redirected to Ondato platform where you need to go through verification process that can be set up differently for every website.

Ondato only charges us after user uploads his ID document photo. And we change status to 'pending' only after user does that. Until then there are no charges.
